Infant Feeding Therapy

We help infants with feeding difficulties, oral motor weakness, and swallowing deficits. An evaluation is recommended if your baby is demonstrating the following:

  • poor weight gain or weight loss

  • tongue tie, lip tie, and/or cheek tie

  • bottle refusal

  • increased irritability/squirming during feeds

  • feeds lasting >30 minutes

  • coughing/choking/gagging with feeds

  • colic, reflux, gas

  • aerophagia

  • tube weaning

  • trouble transitioning to table foods (solids)

Feeding Therapy for Solids

We help with infants and toddlers with extreme picky eating and feeding/swallowing difficulties. An evaluation is recommended if your child is demonstrating the following:

  • < 20 foods in diet

  • tongue tie, lip tie, and/or cheek tie

  • omitting entire food groups (i.e. fruits, veggies)

  • refusing previously preferred foods

  • difficulty increasing texture of food

  • difficulty chewing

  • difficulty weaning from bottle and using cup/straw

  • refusal to eat at family meals

  • tube weaning

  • swallowing deficits including pharyngeal dysphagia

Speech and Language Therapy

We help one and two year olds with early functional speech and language development. Take a look at these milestones to determine if an evaluation is warranted:

  • - imitates sounds

    - say a few words

    - understand simple instructions

    - recognize words for common items

    - follow simple commands

  • - recognize names of familiar objects

    - follow simple directions

    - say at least 10 words

    - can identify body parts

    - point to wanted objects

    - imitates words

  • - say at least 50 words

    - use simple 2 word phrases

    - ask 1-2 word questions

    - answer simple questions

    - respond to basic yes/no questions
